We have been so wrapped up in sorting out the shop that we forgot that this way of shopping is completely new to many people. It can be daunting and intimidating walking into a shop when you don’t know how it works or what to expect. I wanted to do this article to give an idea of how the shop will work and what to expect from it as a customer. I hope you like it.

Blueberry pancakes
Growing up we always had crepes but I can safely say I am now fully converted to these American style blueberry pancakes. They are a delicious way to start a weekend and an absolute must for Pancake Day. If it was up to me we would be eating this every day of the week. This recipe is also entirely dairy free.
Coconut broth and roasted roots with quinoa
This recipe is so good in summer time. Coconut and lime always go beautifully together and the roasted root vegetables are so sweet and delicious. This is also a really colourful meal which always makes it more appealing. And, just for reference quinoa is pronounced ‘ki-noir’…not ‘quin-oa’ as I have said for years.

If you are anything like me then soap nuts or soap berries are a relatively new concept. What are they? How do they work? Are they as effective as other cleaners? I have been using soap nuts for a while now and personally, I think they are pretty amazing!
25 Year Environment Plan and Plastic Pollution
Today the UK Government published their 25-year plan for the environment “A Green Future: Our 25 Year Plan to Improve the Environment”. This is a key document giving an indication of the Government’s direction of travel on environmental issues in England (environment is a devolved issue so this does not directly affect policy in Wales). This blog post gives a short summary of the points in the plan relating to plastic waste and reduction.
