Description
The vanilla pod contains the seeds from the vanilla orchid plant. Genuine vanilla has a high value as the plants are hand pollinated. The green pods are meticulously cared for until they are ready for harvest, at which point they get sun cured and dried, trapping in the delicious flavours and aromas. Yum.
White crystals sometimes form on the outside of the pods. These are deposits of natural Vanillin, indicating the high quality of the beans.
